I moved over to Chris after Kelda retired and it generally takes me a while to get comfortable with a new dentist as I'm an anxious person. However, Chris is warm and welcoming and put me at ease within the first few appointments and I'm extremely grateful for that as change is difficult for me. I lost two of my front teeth, one due to accident and the other through a failed crown and apisectomy. I tried dentures but, with a small mouth, I found it incredibly hard and painful to eat and drink with it. After a great deal of consultation with Chris, we embarked upon the process of fixed bridges. Chris is not only a very skilled dentist but he is also what can only be described as a dental artist - not only did he fix the problems with my teeth but they also look fantastic. I finally have teeth I can be immensely proud of and I'm delighted to report a boost in my confidence with my new smile. Chris is a credit to his profession; someone who is hardworking, cares about his patients and takes the time to put you at ease, he's always informative and responsive to your reactions during treatment. I recommend him most highly.

After years of neglecting my oral health I was very nervous about what procedures may be required to help get my mouth looking and feeling healthy again. However, I've been very pleasantly surprised by my experience of the Slateford Dental Practice, and I would highly recommend visiting them. Not only have all of my visits been completely pain-free, the staff are all very friendly and professional. They're clearly highly experienced, and offer practical advice for their patients without coming across as condescending. My husband, Justin, arrived in Scotland from Australia on a UK Partner Visa a little over six weeks ago and attended two dental clinics before calling in at the Slateford Dental Practice. Third time lucky you could say because he claims that the vibe at Slateford was much friendlier and far more welcoming than at the other two. Further, the Slateford receptionist was able to book him to see a dentist within five days, compared to two months at one of the other practices.The professionalism at the front desk was also evident in the treatment room. During his first appointment, Justin was extremely impressed with Dr Chris Logan's attention to detail and his capacity to explain what was happening with his teeth (which was quite a lot!!).After his consult with Chris, Justin inquired at the front desk whether the practice could accommodate our two girls, aged seven and four and a half. He left comfortable in the knowledge that not only did he have a comprehensive treatment plan for his teeth but also that our girls are going to be looked after by a very impressive dentist and an excellent dental practice.

I can not fault the service that I have received from Slateford Dental Care since joining their practice. My dentist is Ibraheem Al-Affan and can honestly say he is the best one that I have ever had. I’ve recently completed Invisalign and could not be happier with the results. I’ve always been a little nervous when it comes to the dentist, but every member of staff at the practice that I have dealt with have been so friendly, kind and professional that that has evaporated. A massive thank you to everyone who has helped to improve my smile, but especially to Ibraheem who was amazing.

It's a smashing Dentist I'm 81 year old had a number of dentist over the years.This is a very Good Dentist. The staff are terrific. Also pricing is good they can quote a price over the phone. They seem to always get you an appointment ,if one can't take you they get you another dentist in the practice. I've just had that happen.The other Dentist I got was called Stephen such a lovely man and a top dentist. It's a well run organisation. All the Best Victor Brierley.

I have been a patient of Stephen Harrison since 2005. Even after I moved out of Edinburgh, I continued at Slateford Dental Care. Stephen is outstanding. He is truly person centred, consistently explains what he is doing and why and always makes me feel at ease. I have been well looked after by dental hygienists, Alison and Claire too. Reception staff are warm, welcoming and supportive. Slateford Dental Care truly is an excellent practice. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for dental care.

My permanent retainer broke and it required repair during the week I was in Edinburgh. I was not registered to, nor had I heard of Slateford prior to finding them online and booking an appointment. I have been a patient with this practice for around 20 years. Due to my own health I did not attend or take care of my teeth for a long time. Stephen got me in on a quiet Saturday morning, he is such a kind and caring guy he put my mind at ease I then made and attended appointments and I now have great teeth again! A new composite bonding technique was used and what a job Stephen did, my teeth look amazing and so natural. The hygienists and reception staff are lovely too. Overall a highly recommended Dental Practice.

I have just finished Invisalign and I am very pleased with the results achieved in such a short time. Ibraheem and the dental nurses were excellent throughout the whole process and everything went smoothly. I wish I had done this years ago. I would recommend anyone considering Invisalign to go ahead, no matter what age you are. Everyone at Slateford Dental Care is very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
